Schaft Set APS Reproduction Russian AK-74 Furniture Kit Amber
Description de Schaft Set APS Reproduction Russian AK-74 Furniture Kit Amber
The Russian AK-74 was accepted into service in the year 1974 and is still the standard infantry rifle among most of the Post-Soviet states today. An estimated 5 million have been produced by Kalashnikov Concern (formerly Izhmash) and are still in production in modernized versions.
The original AK-74 design, manufactured from 1974-1991 featured an updated, but similar, wood stock design from the AKM. Differences include a lightening cut on the side as well as a side sling point on the stock. This wood stock design was maintained until 1991 when the AK-74M changed to more modern polymer furniture. The handguard design retained the palmswell feature from the later model AKM, but with the removal of the cooling vents adding a scallop cut above the palmswell instead.
This newly produced reproduction stock kit is the most accurate on the market. Featuring a cleaning kit compartment in the stock, steel reinforcement pins, hardwood upper handguard, and a period correct Shellac finish.
